You’re Our Inspiration

At the Birkie Adaptive Ski race in Hayward every winter, people with disabilities inspire us with their athletic capabilities.

The event includes races for para-athletes with visual impairments, athletes who use sit skis and athletes who use standing adaptive ski equipment. They compete on 1-kilometer and 3-kilomenter courses.

The event is run by the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation, which also produces the largest cross-country ski race in North America.

The Becker Law Office has served — very proudly — as the lead sponsor of the Birkie Adaptive Ski race for several years.

Every time, these competitors show us the real meaning of strength, skill and courage.
